Climbing, Hiking & Via Ferrata
Les Arcs and the Vanoise National Park in particular have some fantastic climbs in a virtually limitless area. Hundreds of routes for all abilities, stunning scenery and some beautiful hiking too.
Below is a very small selection of what is on offer. We can introduce you to guides who can take you to the more remote areas, give advice and perhaps even show you some of the more 'secret' locations that the locals like to keep to themselves.
There is a great shop for all your climbing needs just down the road with friendly and knowledgeable staff see www.fixebsm.com.
Cormet de Roselend - Right outside the backdoor 16 different areas with well over 200 set routes and plenty of bouldering. Click here for more details.
Les Arcs & Peisey - Some great climbing to be had out the front door too! Jump on the funicular or drive up the mountain there are official schools or we can introduce you to guides. Peisey is also just short drive and we'd be happy to take you over there. Click here for more details.
We can arrange lifts to and from the ascents and can introduce you to guides for the more challenging routes.
Bouldering
Naturally there is also some great bouldering to be had - we have two giant crash pads from Moon climbing so you don't have to worry about lugging a mat on the plane/train with you.
Via Ferrata
A via ferrata (Italian for 'iron road') is halfway between a hiking trail and rock-climbing along vertical rock faces. The routes are fitted with a cable (or lifeline) and metal fixings to make your ascent easier (and safer!).
